JACKETED GLASSLINE™


PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Jacketed Glassline™ represents the range of thermoplastic resins co-extruded Glassline™ products, developed in order to offer an alternative and cost effective solution for all Customers who are currently sheathing Glassline™ in their premises, as first step of their cable production.

Tecniconsult is currently manufacturing Jacketed Glassline™ using the following thermoplastic resins:

- Low Density Polyethylene
- High Density Polyethylene
- Polypropylene
- Polyamide 66
- Low Smoke Halogen Free Fire Retardant

Upon request, specific thermoplastic resin recommended by Customers can be extruded on Glassline™.


PRODUCT FEATURES

SIZES AVAILABLE

All Glassline™ sizes between 0.25 mm and 4.0 mm are available with increments of 0.05 mm.
Thermoplastic Resin jacketing are available in all sizes with increments of 0.05 mm up to 10 mm.
Minimum thickness of Jacketing is normally depending on specific thermoplastic resin required.


PRODUCT CODE

Various codes are used in order to individualize different thermoplastic resins available:

  • GEPEV for Low Density Polyethylene Jacketed Glassline™
  • GEPEH for High Density Polyethylene Jacketed Glassline™
  • GEPPV for Polypropylene Jacketed Glassline™
  • GEPAV for Polyamide 66 Jacketed Glassline™
  • GELSHF for Fire Retardant Low Smoke HalogenFree Jacketed Glassline™
In order to identify specific dimension needed, above Codes are currently followed by a series of digits in the form ddd/DDD where :

- ddd stands for Glassline™ nominal size in hundredths of millimetres;
- DDD stands for the overall nominal size in hundredths of millimetres.


Example . GEPEV160/220 stands for Glassline™ of 1.6 mm nominal size jacketed with LPDE to 2.2 mm
