Water Swellable Jacketed Glassline™

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Following introduction of Water Swellable Glassline™, Tecniconsult extended application of Water swellable coatings to the entire range of Jacketed Glassline™.

Water Swellable Jacketed Glassline™ offers Customers the chance to have immediately available a product System offering in once:

- Mechanical performances of Glassline™
- Thermoplastic resin Sheathing of Glassline™
- Water blocking performances of Water Swellable coating

Water swellable coatings performs a water-blocking action by:

- quick sorption of water infiltration;
- quick swelling to prevent from further water penetration.
In contact with water, Water Swellable Coating immediately swells increasing its weight up to 400% and its volume up to 300% the original.

All usual mechanical and physical properties of Glassline™ products (e.g. high modulus and strength, low elongation, low weight and high glass content) are maintained also in Water Swellable Jacketed Glassline™.

SIZES AVAILABLE

All Glassline™ sizes between 0.25 mm and 4.0 mm are available with an increase of 0.05 mm. Minimum swellable coating thickness is 0.10 mm.

In order to identify specific dimension needed, above Codes are currently followed by a series of digits in the form ddd/DDD/OOO where:

- ddd stands for Glassline™ nominal size in hundredths of millimetres;
- DDD stands for the Jacketed Glassline™ nominal size in hundredths of millimetres.
- OOO stands for the overall nominal size in hundredths of millimetres including water swellable coating.
